Naʻau Scholarships

In alignment with our mission to showcase locally-sourced, heritage-rooted, and culturally significant dishes to preserve Hawaiʻi’s food culture and progress the local cuisine, this scholarship was established for the next generation of culinarians to further the knowledge of Hawaiʻi’s food culture while gaining or refining skills for a successful culinary career.

Requirements:

• Completed application

• Acceptance/Enrollment Letter into a Culinary Program at a University of Hawaiʻi campus. 

• Class Schedule

• Must be a Full Time student (12 credits minimum)

• Must be a resident of Hawaiʻi

Scholarship amount: $500

If you are awarded a scholarship check, we will contact you to request your UH Student ID number, which will be noted on the check to be sent directly to the college.  

Email your completed and signed application, acceptance / enrollment letter, and class schedule to naaugiving@naauhilo.com.  Applications are due by June 30 for consideration for Fall semester; November 30 for consideration for the Spring semester.

Scholarships are competitive and awarded based on available funding.  Awards may not be deferred. 

Failing, dropping, or withdrawing from a class or school covered by this scholarship may result in the student's repayment of the scholarship award.
