Okashi

Okashi is a term for snacks or confectionary.  Sweets were not part of traditional Japanese meals, and instead people would enjoy fresh fruit.  It wasn't until sugar became widely available in the 16th century did cakes and other desserts become popular.

Our okashi platter will offer a trio of treats, to include fruit, chi chi dango, and kanten.

Kanten is a gelatin made from a substance sourced from seaweed.
